After a dramatic Red Arrows flypast, Laura was the first to perform at the opening ceremony for HRH Prince Harry’s inaugural Invictus Games in 2014, where she debuted her self penned song “Invincible”, taken from her album Sound Of Strength. Laura’s show stopping performance resulted in the mezzo-soprano being the talk of the concert and gracing the front page of the Daily Telegraph the following day. Prince Harry asked her to repeat the performance at the second Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida. Laura’s performance, part of the opening ceremony, was broadcast live across America on ESPN and was screened on the BBC the following day. The successful Opening Ceremony made the homepage of the Daily Mail, with Laura prominently featured. Laura’s music was heard throughout the ceremony, written with John Haywood, the duo composed the entire music for the opening ceremony including the entry music for HRH Prince Harry, FLOTUS Michelle Obama and Actor Morgan Freeman.
